912 & 914 Series Line Maintenance

Attender: min 6 max 8 persons.

Prerequisites: Technician must show /demonstrate basic knowledge of ROTAX (aircraft engine) product line.

Attender: Owner / Operator / Maintenance technicians seeking knowledge for the proper operation and maintenance of the Rotax 912 & 914 serie engines. 

2-day seminar,practical & theoretical knowledge up to the level of carrying out a 100 hour engine service.
Includes areas such as log book entries, oil changes, service bulletins and operating limits (overview of special checks).

Syllabus:

  •  Technical Communications & Publication (Internet)
  •  Engine systems 

Line maintenance on engine systems like but not limited to:

• Ignition System
• Cooling System
• Lubrication System
• Fuel System
• Carburetion incl. synchronization and throttle position calibration
• Gearbox
• Turbocharger
• Instrumentation Systems
• Maintenance and troubleshooting issues

Examination:
Theoretical assesment, selection of questions.
Open books are encouraged as this promotes proper research into technical publication.
Continual hands-on assessment.

Documentation: Diploma of attendance,valid for 24 months from date of issue

Information:

Courses have both presentation and workshop based elements.
The workshop based elements are hands-on and all participants are expected to get involved
(please wear suitable clothing for working in).
